Is there a way to have a task list item send a reminder email to a client for the due date?

I am trying to see if there is a way to send my client an automatic calendar reminder for a specific task on a checklist in Trello. This way, they have their reminders without me having to stay on top of them for each item due date.

I have not come across a trigger based on a checklist item. Your best option is to use a card a proxy for the reminder if you need to trigger something to remind you.
