Is there a way to freeze a Trello board?

Is there a way to freeze (make immutable) all the cards & lists in a board? I have different boards that are years+ old. I'd prefer not to accidentally change something when I go back to look at them.

I'm not looking to Close the board and I'd prefer not to have to tinker with Trello User permissions.

There isn't a way to archive a board like you can do with jira. The only way I can see is in fact to set anyone but you with read only access.

Cool, but in some of these boards, I'm the only user. If I have full access rights, then that wouldn't solve the issue of accidentally moving around cards.

Maybe I could make another admin user in the Team who has full rights, and then change my own read/write access later. Not ideal, but it could work if I really wanted to do this.

you could do that, effectively lock yourself out of your own board. It's a lot of overhead, but it would work.

I could suggest creating an "ARCHIVED" team and move the boards there. At least they`re segregated to a more specialized area of your account, and going there by accident might be less tempting. you could also use a distinctive background image or color so that it is even clearer that you need to refrain from modifying anything. These steps would prevent you from having to handle two accounts.

While I appreciate your advice, the answer to my question is unfortunately no. Having special teams or background images is unfortunately not the same as being unable to edit cards/lists in a board. Thanks though :)
