Is there a way to add a link / folder at the top of the board ?

I want to add a link / folder at the the top of the board, so my office can easily access this folder from the board main page. Is that possible ?

If  you have a paid account, you can create with butler a board button which allows to get url.

Unfortunately my company is using a free account. 
Perhaps there is some other way to create a global link at the top of the board to an external resource ?

You can create specific elements in the board. A list named informations with a card named about this board. In the description of the card, you can insert your url.

Wich kind is the external ressource ?

If it is an other collaborativ tool like Teams, Sharepoint or Slack,... Trello can be directly integrated.

It is a Sharepoint folder I would like to add to the Trello board. 
Do you know how that can be integrated ?

It allows much more than just add a link.
