Having issues with logging into trello and can't reset a password. Trying to find a human to talk to is ridiculous.

Yes, they do indeed make it very difficult to raise support requests. I've escalated this post to Atlassian support for you.

Hi everyone, Blair here from Trello Support. I sincerely apologize for the frustration. I know how disruptive it can be when you can't access an account, and especially when it feels like help is hard to reach.

  • To be transparent about how we handle support requests: our 1:1 email support tickets are reserved for customers with a Trello Standard, Premium, or Enterprise subscription. For our free-tier users, this community forum is the primary place for support. We have internal folks at Trello helping alongside Community Champions to provide solutions and escalate systemic bugs to our engineering team.

🛠️ Possible solution to help with logging into a Trello account:

  1. Check to see if you're logged in already on a different device. Look at the email address associated with that account to ensure you're logging into the correct account with the right email address.
  2. Use an incognito browser - ensure it’s a supported browser.

  3. Go to https://id.atlassian.com and type in your email and type in the password - don’t use autofill and don’t use the social login options.

  4. Then, go to https://trello.com and you should be able to view your boards.

    1. If you don't see the boards you're looking for, check to see if you've registered with an alternate email address, or potentially a relay email address
    2. If necessary, reset your password via https://id.atlassian.com/login/resetpassword and try the login again.

➡️ If you get a verification prompt (this can happen if you log in from a new device or location) and still don’t see the email from us, we recommend double-checking these most common solutions:

  • Check Spam/Junk/Bulk: This is the most common fix; look for emails from @AM.atlassian.com and @id.atlassian.com

  • Search for “Atlassian”: Search the term “Atlassian” and “Verify your identity” in your email inbox to see if it shows up in any folder

  • Add to Safe Senders: Add the sender domains (@am.atlassian.com and @id.atlassian.com) to your safe list/contacts

  • Go back to login page and use the link Didn’t get the code? Resend it.

  • Check that your company isn’t blocking emails.

  • Check that your email address is set up, that your inbox isn't full, and that the mail server is not down or experiencing issues.

If you've tried the above and are still stuck, share the specific error message or problem point and we can take a closer look.

Trello automatically logged me out of my account randomly yesterday too. Then, when attempting to sign back in, it wanted me to verify my account by sending a code to my email. That code never came through. I pressed the link to resend the code several times throughout the day, but I never received that email.

To make matters worse, the only way to get in touch with support on Trello or Atlassian is to log in. But if the problem you're having is log-in issues, what good is that?

Is this the same problem you're having?
I think it was a bug as the verification emails finally came through after 11pm last night, but I missed a whole day of work because I couldn't get into my account and couldn't contact support without logging in.

This is not user-friendly at all. What kind of system makes you log in to get support? What do the people do who can't get into their accounts because of a LOG IN ISSUE? Requiring them to log in does not help lol, a huge oversight on their end.

My boss had the same issue, so I could not look to her or our IT team for help. They really should have a way to contact support without having to log in for those people whose issue is - LOGGING IN!! Not very tech-smart for a tech company.
