Is it possible to not get email notifications for specific board activity?

I have multiple employees in trello who create cards. However, is it possible for them to receive emails only on cards they have been added to and mentioned in and NOT notifications for activity in cards they have created?

Hi @Keri Speicher ! Welcome to the community :) You're right that individuals will only get notified of cards when they are watching the card. You become a watcher of a card when you're added as a member or when you comment on a card, and you can also manually watch a card, list, or board.

You can also set up an automation to have this happen automatically. For example, when I add a card to the board, subscribe to the card:
