Is it possible to have Butler card button open a new window to a specified URL when clicked?

I would like so that when a particular Butler card button is clicked, a new window opens to a specified URL.

Can this be set up using the Butler command builder?  Or any other suggestions would be great.  Thanks

Hi @Cody L 

You are not able to have a card button open to an external URL. but as a workaround, you could add a butler rule to attach the link to any card added (created or moved) onto the board. This way you can select the link and it will open.

It would look something like this:

This works if you want the same URL on all cards, but if you want different URL's on each card then that wouldn't be possible.

On a different thought, would it be possible to have a card button open an external URL using the Trello API.  I saw some stuff regarding a function t.modal().

Or, my developer requested me to ask if a Butler card button or another card feature can be used to invoke Javascript?

Thanks, guys. this helped me a lot. I was looking for a way to open a powerapps to record hours on cards and this pointed me in the right direction.
