I had the Standard plan set up, and it was assigned to me automatically. I reduced the number of board members to 9 so I wouldn't exceed the limit and could use the board for free. But I was charged. I've already switched to the free plan, but can I get a refund for something I won't be using?

You'll need to contact Atlassian Billing directly for this, as community members don't have access to accounts or invoices.
Make sure the plan is really cancelled in your billing settings, then open a ticket with Atlassian Billing Support with your account details and invoice date to request the refund.

Probably because you've fallen from a Premium subscription.
Try an incognito window without logging in. Put "I'm not a customer," submit details (the form is quite straightforward), and then submit it.

Sorry you got charged unexpectedly — that’s frustrating.
Trello Standard is billed per workspace member, so if you had 10+ collaborators in the workspace when the renewal processed, the system would auto-charge even if you reduced members right after. The Free plan allows up to 10 collaborators per workspace, but billing is based on the count at the time of renewal, not after.
For the refund: Trello’s official policy is that prepaid subscriptions are generally non-refundable Atlassian, but Support does review cases like this. Since you downgraded immediately and won’t be using Standard, you’ve got a good shot.

Go to https://trello.com/contact
Select Billing → Request a refund
Include your workspace name, charge date, and note that you reduced to 9 members and switched to Free right away
They usually reply within 1-2 business days. Once you’re on Free, you shouldn’t see future charges.
