Is it possible to set the view so that you can see who created the work item?

Under Projects > Views > Tab 'Board'

You can customize the fields visible on the cards under the three dots -> configure views -> cards layout, and add the creator field:

Since this is the Jira Service Management board, no. Alternatively, you can create a filter in Jira that will be based on the JSM project, then you can edit the Card layout to show the Reporter.
