I set up an incoming email address for a Trello list. I use it for QA testers to submit bugs directly to a New Bugs list we created. I noticed when the sender has an account on the Trello board (member of team), Trello auto-assigns the new card to that person. I don't want to do that. I use member assignment of cards for the person who's responsible for working on the task, not the person submitting the issue. Is there a way to prevent the auto-assignment?
Hey Norman,
Can I ask if the individuals emailing in are CC'ing themselves, or adding their emails to the "To" field? If you send an email to Trello and include other Trello users' email addresses as "to" or "CC" addresses, Trello will add them as members of the card as well.
If that's not the case, reach out to Trello Support at trello.com/contact and we can help you troubleshoot.
All the best!
