In Trello on IOS, how do I move a card within a list?

On the desktop, to move a card within a list, I would click and drag to the new location in the list.  On the iPhone I can't find that functionality, either in the app or in the browser.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bruce

On the Trello iOS app, you can move a card. To do this, tap on the card that you want to move, and you will see it slant slightly. That's the indicator that it's ready to move.  Then, drop it where you want, either on the same list or another.

On the mobile browser, tap the card you want to move to open it. Then scroll to the bottom of the card to "action" and select MOVE.

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your reply.  In the IOS app on an iPhone, I don’t see that behavior.  When I tap (or double-tap) on a card, it opens the card.  In the action menu for the card there is a move option which allows me to move the card to another list, but does not provide a means to specify the position in the target list.

Ah...in the browser, the move option has a position in the target list.  That accomplishes the desired behavior.  But drag-and-drop would be more convenient.

We cannot see that behavior on my 2 colleagues' iPhones. Is this a known bug and will be fixed later soon?

On the iPhone it depends on how you touch the card. If you press "hard", it will open up, if it's just a soft touch you can drag it around and drop it somewhere.

Thanks @David Brugger, my another colleague just helped me test on his iPhone, and it works well. BTW, his iOS version is 12.3.1, and 12.1.4 cannot use drag & drop.

Still a problem - I’m using an iPad pro - while you can go into each card and then select a location to move it from, there is no graphical way to move a card, which given the nature of the interface and the swim lane focused organizational aspects  of Trello, feels like a huge miss.  Why can’t I use either the cursor, or my finger to move cards around?
