We don't use the invite links but add people by email. That's a safer singular identifier, because the invite feature based on screen or user names carries too many uncertainties.
(If your are very familiar with your users and they have clear user icons, that's not such an issue; but we have lots of external observers and I can't distinguish JaneM from Jane_M if I don't know these people.)
If you want them in the entire space, you seem to be in the right place already, at /w/yourworkspace/members where you click the blue button, paste the email and they will be added as a normal member. You can then make them an admin if needed.
At that point multi-board guests and workspace members are unified so there is no additional cost. If they were multiboard guests already, the workspace membership is not charged; or, now that they're workspace members, adding them to multiple boards is also not charged.
Of course, if not everyone needs to be on multiple boards, and if they have no business in the Workspace, you can just make them single-board guests at no cost. Depends on your work plan here.
Finally, with members who are not admins now new to the Workspace, also check your board settings: Workspace visible or Private, and Adding or removing members: all members or admins only. Those settings are all per board, top right under the [...]
