When we set up a card on our board and use power up to create repeats it sets a due date, which I do not want as I want this to be a daily, weekly or monthly etc repeat occurrence.
Then the card shows up several times in the list and we only want it to appear each day, once a week etc... not three or four times - this is not working properly.
what am I doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Also how can we get pop up reminders prior to the task being due.
thanks
Hi Simone,
We just released a new feature that you may want to give a try! Instead of using power-ups, you can set a single Due Date, then add repeats to that Due date.
That way, when you mark a card as Done, it'll move the Due date to the next time you need to do the task.
You can also set Reminders in that same menu. Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks for the suggestion but I don’t want due dates. Is there a way to reoccur tasks without one using this option?
Also why are multiple cards being created and how can I delete them and start fresh as I only want one card per task not four or five?
Thank you 😊

Hi @Simone Griggs
One more power-up that offers Repeat feature is Planyway.
The app visualizes the card on the calendar as often as you set but doesn't create extra cards on the board.

If you are using Card Repeater power-up, it is a little bit confusing.
When you set the recurrence in card repeater, at the recurrence frequency you set, it is going to create a copy of the master card every time. It will keep doing so until you disable it.
The Card Repeater will only create duplicate cards with due dates if the original "Master" card has a due date.
Can you please explain, as in the steps you would take if you were doing this manually. I will then provide a solution

Hi Mike
Thanks for your explanation - this is definitely happening, and I would prefer just one task per reoccurrence so might be better to use the above suggested method rather than the power up.
Do I have to delete all the cards with the power up repeat and start again? This will take me ages... Also, what is the best way to delete a card? Archive and then delete?
I want to use Trello for all of our daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly tasks by setting up one card up and reoccur it accordingly.
kind of like outlook calendar reoccurrence but on your Trello board where we move the card to complete once the task is actioned.
With Outlook you can reoccur without an end date. Is this possible?
thanks for your help with this I'm just learning :)
