I can not login to the website

Because my email account is associated with an old employer and when I attempt to login to trello.com it says that I can’t login because I have to verify via an email sent to my old employer which I have no access to.  How do I disassociate my personal email from my old employer?

You can not, you need access to the email to be able to "recover" it.  Unless you can talk to your old employer enough to get them to give you access to your email long enough to change the ownership of your Trello account.

If you can't talk to them, then you will need to set up a new account with your personal email and start again.
