How to you align multiple different workflows on one board?

We have three teams in our company and what we are trying to get out of trello is how to work on three boards and get all the information displayed in some sort of overview board. 

Ideally we would like the overview board to have projects listed and then the sub/team boards to have child tasks for that project(s). So when we update the child task it gets an update on the overview board.

What would the easiest way be to get this setup? Do all teams need to have separate boards or can we work from one board for all 3 teams using filters and then having a 2nd Overview board for the Projects

Hi Vikram,

Trello doesn't include the sort of Overview board you're looking for, unfortunately—one of Trello's priorities is about helping people gain perspective on projects, so we don't provide many features that allow you to see individual cards out of context.

That said, there are a few options. The first is to link cards together—you can use Trello's attachment feature on any card to attach any other Trello card or board to that card, which shows a relation. You can then in one click add a link back to that card on the other card. This won't do any automatic syncing, but it does make it easy to get from one main project card to an overview card on another board.
