How to set Trello tasks that show "free" in Outlook Calendar

Dawn Russell

I'm currently setting tasks in Trello using due dates and reminders.  My Trello board is linked to my Outlook Calendar. The challenge that I'm having is that the tasks take on a "busy" profile in the calendar and therefore prevent people from booking other appointments in my calendar (I'm a recruiter, so people always need to book interviews with me).

Does anyone know how I can change the Trello or calendar settings so that my Trello tasks list me as "free" in Outlook Calendar please?

Hi @Dawn Russell ,

If this is configurable, it would be on the Outlook side as I don't think native config. within Trello has this option.

I am curious: how did you set up this integration/connection? I do have Trello Premium and with it, I can use Planner and the option to sync Outlook or Google calendars (example here), but I haven't tried doing the same for the Free plan.

To get back to your question - if there's any option within Outlook (when you click on your Trello calendar from list of calendars) where you can actually configure this, then I guess that would be it 🤔

Cheers,
Tobi

Thanks for your reply @Tomislav Tobijas - I hadn't thought to check the Outlook settings.  As for setting the integration up, I just watched a video tutorial and followed the instructions:)  Can't remember what I did now, though.

I'll have a look at the Outlook settings now to see if I can find anything to help
