Printing a Trello list, even in the List View, doesn't print as nice as it looks on the screen. Key portions of the list are covered up.
There should be better support for printing lists, export to CSV/Excel, PDF, etc.
I definitely hear where you're coming from - Trello was built to be used primarily as a web and mobile application, and as such it doesn't have very robust built-in printing support.
While we do offer printing in the app, it's not a heavily focused feature: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/printing-in-trello/
However, we are aware of a third-party Power-Up that allows for some more customizable printing from Trello, which you may want to check out: https://trello.com/power-ups/search?q=print
On the export side, CSV is available on our Premium plan: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/exporting-data-from-trello/
Hopefully that helps get a bit closer to your goal!
I'd like to try one of these power-ups, however when I try to add them, there is a blank drop down box, and the "Add" button is inactive. Cannot add. What does this mean?

I'm testing on my side, and I'm seeing boards that I'm an admin of in that dropdown. Are you an admin of the board you'd like to add the Power-Up to? If not, the best bet would be to get in touch with the board admin and ask them to add your preferred Power-Up, or if you'll be making these types of changes regularly, you could ask them to add you as a board admin as well.
