How to prevent Automation to "corrupt" a Jira Integration on Trello cards

Rob van Eerd

Hi there,

I have a successful integration with Jira from Trello.

I use this partially for my planning of activities (most important Jira tickets to follow up).

I can create Trello cards by pasting the URL to the Jira ticket which allows me to adjust my planning as needed.

This will then look like:

For some situations, I would like to add labels to colorcode my Trello tickets.
This appears to only work for "regular cards as I do not seem to have the options for a Jira related Trello card:

This also means that when I drag these Jira related Trello cards to a list for which I created some automation to add labels, the Trello card is changed into just an URL but no more Jira integration.

Is this works as designed?
Or am I missing something?

Thanks for any advise.

Regards,

Rob van Eerd

Hi @Rob van Eerd

Welcome to the community.

It's not really a Trello card, but due to the fact you used the Jira power-up in Trello.

The Jira issue is shown as a card on a Trello board, but it's basically a link to the Jira issue.

Thanks for your response @Marc -Devoteam-

That's what I thought, so it is works as designed that all Trello features, valid for a real Trello card, are not applicable to a Trello card linked to a Jira ticket.

Too bad.

Regards,

Rob
