How to make a trigger that moves a different card after the first one is moved?

Joshua Jones May 20, 2025

I want to make a rule where the trigger is a card being moved to a done list, so that the action result is a different card being moved to the original list. There doesn't seem to be a way to do anything with a different card after the trigger. All options only regard the first card that was used with the trigger.

Hola @Joshua Jones .

Se pueden tomar como referencia múltiples factores que determinen tanto el disparador como la acción.

¿Podrías concretar un poco las características de la primera y segunda tarjeta?

Joshua Jones May 21, 2025

The first card is "Tasks for Monday." It has a checklist for tasks to be done on Monday. It is originally in a list named "Sam," for the individual who is working.

The second card, "Tasks for Tuesday," has a checklist for tasks to be done on Tuesday. It is originally in the "Done" list or a "Template" list, whichever would work better.

I would like to make a rule that when the Monday card is moved to the "Done" list, the Tuesday card will move to the "Sam" list, where Monday originally was.

In "Advanced" settings, I have the ability to choose the name of the first card to be moved when setting up triggers by selecting the filter icon. But all options in the "Select Actions" section only include the original card that was moved, which is the Tasks for Monday card. There is no option to do something with the second card.
