How to disable Inbox section?

It stays on the left side of my board and I don't want it

Sounds like the Atlasian UI team has some work they could do to locate that button somewhere more obvious. I would have expected the three dots (...) on the top right of the panel to have a "hide panel" button rather than being located on some other panel.
