How to create a workspace with no type and no description

Dennis D

We are forced to create workspaces. It provides no benefit to me. I've had to read a bit to figure what this is - just a new name for "team".

When I go to create a workspace - it REQUIRES a type. None of the drop down choices thank you. It seems to also REQUIRE a description. A bunch of hoopla for something I don't want, don't use, don't need.

Can I just create "workspace" so the Atlassian engineers are happy and still use it as before? There's is NOTHING offered by this feature. i don't need a type - I know my database. I don't need a description - I know what it is.

@Dennis D the type of workspace you choose only changes what example templates appear at the top when you first create it, which is used to help people get started.

So just pick "Operations" and enter your description as "For British eyes only" and you're done.
