How to change mail on Trello user

Hello, my colleagues use a Trello account whose email was hacked a few days ago. We currently don't have access to this email, and we won't be able to access it because it was hacked. We'd like to keep the account, as it contains a lot of important and useful data. How can we change the email address on the account? Or is it only possible to create a new account and transfer all our cards to the new profile? Then how can we block the user whose email was hacked? To prevent scammers from accessing important and valuable data?

Unfortunately, i think, Trello Support can't change the email on an account for you. It's a strict security rule. The email can only be changed from inside the account, and that requires access to the current email to confirm.

So the key question is: are you still logged into the account somewhere (phone, an old browser tab, anything)?

If yes, don't log out. Invite a new email to the important boards and workspace, promote it to admin, and once that new account owns everything, remove the old user. That cuts off the hacker's access to the data.

If you're already locked out, the only path is to recover the hacked email itself with the email provider. Once you get the mailbox back, reset the Trello password normally.

And just in case, change passwords on any other accounts that used that same email and turn on 2FA. If the email was hacked, Trello probably isn't the only thing at risk.
