How to add comments to a task in trello checklist

I know you can comment on a card but if you are asking questions or working on a task in a checklist within a card can you add comments to individual tasks?

There's not a way to add comments to individual checklists or checklist items, only the card itself.

You can send that idea to Trello via email at 'feature-ideas@trello.com' if you'd like.
