When I enter - trello.com/contact

And select 'Product Suggestions' -

It gives me an option to go to 'Trello->Suggestions'. This looks like the right spot but all I see here is a 'Create' button -

And when I select 'Create', I get no option for Trello!

The page below basically says they're not taking requests now unless they align with major changes they're planning. They say that if you have a "big picture" suggestion, you should use the "contact us" link . The changes they make better be excellent now that they massively increased their price the last time I had to renew.

I wanted to suggest they bring back the little "checkbox animation" that makes the checkboxes shake, as if celebrating when you finish all items on a checklist, but that's probably not "big picture". UG!

Per what a member of the Atlassian Team has told me directly, suggestions are created by the Atlassian Team themselves. They become aware of feature suggestions via this community, and Community Champions can help by bringing issues to Team Member's attention.

Anyone can make a suggestion for Trello features, but it is up to the Atlassian team to manage the list of product suggestions. Otherwise, the list would become unmanageable and likely have mistakes and duplicates. The way it is set up allows the Atlassian Developers to have achievable goals.

I can't imagine what it would be like if anyone could just add to that list. Nothing would ever get done.

So, as to the question:

How do I submit a feature suggestions for product improvement?

The answer is:

  • Post it to the community
  • If you are a Community Champion, and you think the feature suggestion is worth putting it on the list, you may use your resources to bring the post to a Team Member's attention. I would highly suggest that Community Champions use heavy discretion and make sure the suggestion is a) very thoroughly tested, understood, and thought out and b) is not a duplicate of an existing issue and c) is widely beneficial to the Trello userbase. The more we spam the team, the less issues they can actually spend time working on.
  • Bear in mind that Team members do read these posts, so just because a Community Champion does not respond to a feature suggestion does not mean that the Atlassian Team doesn't see it.

Thx. That's where @Justin Reina sent the initial screenshots from. You see the requests there, but it's not possible to create one for Trello.

I have the same problem. It just seems not possible.
This just again reinforces my impression, Altlassian cares more for creating profit with Trello than for improving the product.
