How do I view due dates in notifications from boards I create?

How do I view due dates in notifications from boards I create?

Seems like this should be simple and it says on help pages that due dates appear in notification within 24 hours if you subscribe to the board. I made the board and so didn't think that I needed to subscribe but even when I subscribe the due dates are not appearing in notifications - help!

Hey Polly,

Once you subscribed to the board, list, or card, and the 24 hour before due date has already passed, you won't receive a notification.

Is this the case?
