1+ for this. It’s really annoying that there’s no way to use dates without time.

It's baffling to me that in 2023 there isn't just a checkbox for all day/display time. Not even a time dropdown so I have to type in a meaningless time, which is confusing for everyone.

Removing the time is essential - I really want to output my board in excel format and it's such a hot mess to look at with the times included. PLEASE STOP WITH THE TIME. I'M DYING. (not really but like, kind of, inside.)

I just started using Trello again after a couple of years. Needed this feature and disappointed by its lack. Came to the community, and that’s when I realized Trello was now owned by Atlassian.
That explains everything!

Same here - just came back to Trello as I start a new position and discovered this surprising problem on day 1

Is Trello just becoming a forgotten product, as is so common with software companies? Please add basic features like this that drastically improve the basic usefulness of the tool, Atlassian.

Guys, there IS an option to remove the due date!
HERE IS HOW TO DO:
In my example, I have set the trigger:
when the due date is marked as complete in a card in list ["Task Board"], [Action]
I hope that helps you.

You can remove the due date, but you can't change the default time from 12:00 pm or remove the time to make it an "all day event". So it will show up on your calendar at noon, whether you like it or not. That's what the original post is about and six years later, it still hasn't changed.

Oh yes I see! Thinking of my own problem, I completely misunderstood the subject of the question! Thank you for correcting me :)

Oh, no worries! I wish your answer solved my problem too :-) However, I pretty much gave up on Trello a while ago... I just get notified about this thread every once in a while and it's somewhat hilarious that the problem still exists.

I gave it a quick thought. Unfortunately I don't have premium access at the moment so I can't access a calendar to check it, but theoretically this rule should create a daily event from a card, for example:
As I said, unfortunately I can't check it, but that might be an approach.

WAIT WHAT? You can't remove the time? Even Google Tasks (this terrible feature in Gmail that Google doesn't even upkeep) let's you do that! Everyone told me to use Trello, but it seems to be ages behind other features. And this is Atlassian, one of the leaders in project management. Very disappointed!

Here is a workaround for after you export to cvs:
Make a new "due date" column and populate it with this formula: "=LEFT( target_cell,10)"
The new column will only have the date, no time.

a vote from me too - makes it useless trying to sync with calendar, if you want events to be all day

Such a simple issue, and indeed, it makes me wonder that Trello is the right option. Why have this forum if Trello does not even bother to answer?

I could really use this feature as well. I find it hard to believe that it's not here yet as other platforms have it and it's a basic function. Please add this feature!

Just letting you know that I came back to reevaluate Trello, and I'll just delete my workspace there now after seeing that this basic feature is still unsupported.
