How do I remove due dates from checklist items?

I need automation that removes the due dates on checklist items that doesn't involve deleting and remaking the checklist. 

I have already tried:
Resetting the checklists
Removing dates from the cards
Setting the due date of the checklist item to a cleared date custom field

Hey Michael, 

It isn't possible to remove the due dates without removing the checklist item. 

I believe it's a good idea, so I'll send your thoughts to the Product Team, they'll take them into consideration. However, I can't guarantee it'll be implemented.

Is this a feature yet? It's a fairly simple feature that would save a lot of time.
