How do I automatically trigger and/or remap checklist items' due dates?

I need the ability to have Custom Fields in a card trigger individual checklist items' due dates. I also need subsequent checklist items trigger (from the same custom field) with a +3 days, +7 days due date, etc.

There are SO many people in my industry trying to make this happen, and after about a week of research I am beginning to think it's not possible. 

I'm desperately looking for a solution.
