I can login from my laptop but not my phone or tablet. It just has a spinning disk near the password field. These devices have not yet accessed Trello before but do have the apps downloaded.

Sorry to hear that you aren't able to login to the mobile or tablet app. If you are using iOS devices, from the displayed error message please try activating Javascript as described here:

And also, the mobile app login authentication for the app happens via the browser. Enabling cookies for your default browser usually resolves the issue just as explained below:
