How can I track my teams On-time completion percentage?

We have been asked to track what our on-time completion percentage is, with the target of having an on-time completion percentage of 80%. We currently have the free version and are comfortable with paying a subscription if it will show us the metric we want. Has anyone been able to easily capture this metric? 

From looking around the site, here is what I can gather.

1. Dashboard - would the dashboard view be able to show the percentage of cards that were completed by the due date? 

2.  Is there a rule that could be created that could deliver this metric via email? what would that look like?

Don't bother with Trello dashboard feature, it really isn't fit for purpose.

There are 3 options I can suggest:

1. Projects by placker has reporting and dashboards functionality  
2. Reports by Blue Cat is a dashboard and reporting power-up that is highly configurable and includes email reporting 
3. You can build something in Trello using their Dashcards powerup (available on paid plans only) and some automations. The setup is advanced but the functionality can be quite powerful

note: Options 1 and 2 are 3rd party power-ups and have a subscription fee associated with them
