How can I set the dates to always use absolute dates rather than referential like "yesterday"

As the question states... The insistence on using the term yesterday, a minute ago, three days ago in software is a damned nuisance.

How can I switch this off in Trello?

You can try turning on international date and time formatting, but there's no really native option to manage that.
