How can I delete a single Checklist item that I’ve created in Trello app for iOS?

On MacOS, this is accomplished by deleting the text of the item, and then hiting the “Save” button. Having a hard time finding how to delete a Checklist item in the iOS app.

Swiping left should help with that! You'll see the "delete" button in red.

Trying this and it doesn't work. The item just appears again. iOS version.
