How can I add blank line in a checklist task?

I'm a trello user and not a programmer, but I want to add blank lines in a checklist task and can't figure out how to do it.  I know I can do it in a Comment, but I'm stumped!  TIA.  Barb

@Barb Sellers I am not sure I understand but could you add a period and that would create a blank line? Are you looking for spacing between the tasks or more for placeholder to add content at a later date?

I would have one task with comments that need to be separated by an empty line.  So basically, I want to force a hard return within one task.  For example, one task might have various updates.  This is what one of my tasks might look like

Get Pricing for Caribbean Cruise for March 2019

9/6/18 - Flash promotion, moved bookings into new promotion, saved clients $300 per cabin, emailed client, waiting for deposit decision

9/5/18 - Put three cabins on hold, online Cruising Power

empty line

9/4/18 - spoke with Royal Caribbean, Mini @ 4:55PM blah blah blah
