Has anyone tried to automatically reply to an email using data from a card on another board?

Hi all, I'm trying to send card data to members who ask for it via email. The data is on a second board so it's not visible until it's asked for. In other words, members send an email request to their board and get an automatic reply with the data (custom field or description) from a card on a different board (that they don't have access to). Those who want the data will be given access to the second board later.

I'm on a paid account, with Sendboard email powerup and am looking at Unito for mirroring (if that might help).

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Thanks, Graham

Yes, it is possible to automatically reply to an email using data from a card on another board. One way to achieve this is by setting up a two-way sync between the two boards using a third-party Power-Up like Sync by Unito. Once the sync is set up, any updates made to the card on one board will be reflected on the other board as well. You can then use the SendBoard power-up to automatically send an email to the member with the updated card data. Another option is to use Butler to set up a one-way sync that pushes data from one card to another. However, be aware that two-way syncing using Butler can cause loops and lead to issues on your board.

Hi Riley,

Thanks so much for the reply. I'm trying out Unito now.

Kind regards,

Graham
