Has anyone successfully added Google Chat to Trello? 

I followed the instructions, authorized the app and everything, and it still didn't work.

Yes — Trello can work with Google Chat, but only through the official integration (Power-Up), not directly inside Chat by default.

Key points:

• Trello has a Google Chat integration that sends board updates to Chat spaces. (Atlassian Support)

• It mainly provides notifications (card changes, moves, activity), not full two-way control. (Google Workspace)

• You must enable the Google Chat Power-Up on the Trello board and authorize it. (Atlassian Community)

If it’s not working, try this:

1. Enable the Google Chat Power-Up on the Trello board.

2. Add or mention the Trello bot (@Trello) in the Chat space to authorize.

3. Make sure your Google Workspace admin allows external apps.

4. Confirm you selected the correct board and space during setup.

5. Re-authorize the integration if permissions changed.

Alternative:
If the native integration doesn’t meet your needs, tools like Zapier or IFTTT can automate messages between Trello and Google Chat. (Zapier)

In short:
Integration exists, but it’s mostly for notifications — not full task management inside Google Chat.
