Get reminders longer in advance

Sairah April 26, 2021

Right now, reminders max out at 2 days in advance.   I really need to be able to add reminders about due dates 1 week in advance, 2 weeks in advance and 1 month in advance as well as the existing 8 options (that are all within 2 days or less).

Can you help me figure out a workaround on how I can do this?

HI @Sairah ðŸ‘‹

(Me again!) So I've taken another look and I'm quite certain Planyway could help, I've tracked down more information on their reminders functionality, take a look here >> https://planyway.com/help/reminders#add-reminders

In short it allows you to customise the length of time of the reminder on a card in minutes, hours, days and weeks.

Unfortunately there is no other Power-Up that offers the functionality you currently seek so I really hope you have some luck with this one ðŸ˜ƒ

I hope this helps but always here if you have any other questions!

All the best,

Laura

Ok that is fantastic, I will give it a go! Thanks Laura!!!

Since you are so wise, I have one more question :-).

Is there any way to assign due dates and people to checklist items outside of the business class package?

Thanks so much!!!

Haha I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm wise but I'll take it ðŸ˜ƒ

So is it safe to say you're currently on the free plan of Trello? If so, the good news is you can attach one Power-Up per board (this increases with Business Class) and Planyway should offer you the functionalities you've described.

I've attached a link to the full functionalities of Planyway so if you scan down to 'add checklists to cards' you'll see what the Power-Up offers in this area >> https://planyway.com/help/getting-started#add-checklists-to-cards

Anything else pops up feel free to fire it over, more than happy to help!

All the best,

Laura

Hi @Sairah ðŸ‘‹

Welcome to the Community! I believe a Power-Up could be the answer to your question, I'd suggest taking a look at Planyway: Calendar, Timeline, Time Tracker >> https://trello.com/power-ups/58bd1f9aca72f48c8900574f

I hope this helps but if you have any other questions or require a slightly different functionality then let me know, I'm here to help 😃

All the best,

Laura

Thanks, Laura!  Close but not quite… I actually just want to set a reminder for a due date that is longer than 2 days (which is the current max that Trello allows for due dates). Is there a powerup you know that does that?

Thanks!

Sairah

Thank you so much for that suggestion, but i honestly dont know what to do with it, AND it seems like this should be a much simpler function in trello..! :-)

@Sairah

I agree. Perhaps it will be available in a future enhancement.
