Generate Trello board from Jira projects

Hi Atlassian Community (I'm fairly new to Trello but have been using Jira for years),

Now that Atlassian owns Trello, wondering if it's possible to generate or sync a Trello board from Jira projects (defined by a JQL query or by project category)?

We have a lot of Jira projects, and one major limitation is Jira has no concept of project "state"; another challenge is getting a "birds-eye view" of where all our projects are at.

It occurs to me that Trello could act as a "dashboard" view for Jira (whose Dashboard gadget has been somewhat broken for awhile now). Each Jira project could be a card, and Trello's engaging UI could be used to organize the project cards into columns for state, utilizing labels and other elements to show where projects are at.

So first question is whether either Trello or Jira has a way to bring high level Jira project info into Trello, or if there's an add-on or powerup for this. Just starting to look around but haven't found anything so far. We're using Jira Cloud if that makes a difference. Any ideas?

I didn't find an add-on that does what I'm looking for..

So I implemented a simple workaround: I used Zapier to check Jira for newly-created issues based on certain JQL criteria to only pick up one issue per project, and then create a new Trello card from that data. Works ok.

If you want to save the project Status you can use our App called Profields:

We provide a view where you can find yours projects by status. It is not a board view, but at least you can track your projects by status.

We are available on Data Center, Server and Cloud.
