Full screen view for cards

Does anyone know how to change the default "Card Screen" to be full width or just wider in general?

The defual view has the comment screen on the right, and when I turn that off the "task" side just shrinks down, when it should just envelope that comment screen side.  It is very frustrating to me to have it this way as we use checklists for a lot of meetings and some checklist items can be very long, so when the card screen only allows for 5 inches wide on 16 inch wide screen it is stupid to have to scroll forever to get to the bottom of my checklist. Just make the screen wider or be able to be personalized to whatever width we need.
