Hi Trello Product Team,
I am writing to provide constructive, yet critical feedback regarding the recent card back redesign and the horizontal compaction of action menus.
The previous layout, which featured a persistent right-hand sidebar with immediate access to actions like Move, Copy, Archive, and Mirror, was essential for fast-paced daily workflows. By collapsing these core functionalities into the three-dot menu (...), the new UI introduces unnecessary friction and extra clicks for basic, repetitive tasks. On desktop monitors, the card modal now feels overly compressed and makes poor use of screen real estate.
For power users managing high-volume boards and complex operational workflows, this "extra click" compounds into a significant loss of speed and daily productivity.
Request: Please consider adding a native user preference or board-level toggle to choose between the new "Compact Layout" and the "Classic Sidebar Layout", or at least allow users to pin their most frequently used action buttons to the top bar so they remain visible at all times.
Thank you for listening to the user community. I hope to see improvements to this UX soon.
