Email to card not working

I am forwarding an email thread to the email address of a card. The messages appear as a new comment in the card, but the message content is truncated.

 

I've tried sending a new, short message to a card, and that worked fine. Is there some issue with message length, or forwarded messages?

Hi Jerry,

 

This is expected—because there tends to be more comments on a card, we strip out replies in a thread. The idea is that only the most recent message will appear as a comment on the card. If you're forwarding a thread, some email clients format the entire content of the message as a "reply" that Trello will parse as something that is an old part of the thread and should be taken out.

 

If, when forwarding a thread, you copy the relevant part of the message into the very topmost portion of the email, making sure it's not preceded by any > symbols, that'll ensure it's seen as a part of the message to keep.
