Email alert when creating a card

Hi,

I know trello has the function to create a card using email but is there a way to send an email when a card is created in trello?

When I create a card and assign a member, is there a way to email the member that there is a new card assigned to him/her?

When a user is added to a card he will receive a notification. The email notifcations can however be only controlled by the user itself. 

To receive an email upon card creation, I would recommend for the user to subscribe to the list or the board that the card is created in. This way, the user will be notified of a new card.
