Hey - I have created automations where once once checklist is completed it adds another one and then moves the card. But... I need to amend and add something to a checklist and there is nowhere for me to actually amend the checklist you can only add to it once it is in there. Can I please have some help on how to do this.

Hi @Hope Leonhardt ,

You can edit a checklist directly on the card, but you can’t edit an automation-generated “template” checklist in one central place and have old cards update automatically.

To change your process, you have two options:

1. Update existing cards manually

  • Hover any checklist item to: rename, reorder, or delete.
  • You can also add new items at the bottom of the checklist as needed.

2. Update the automation so future cards use the new version

  • Go to Automation → Open the rule that adds the checklist
  • Edit the action so it uses your updated checklist (or modify the checklist text in the rule, depending on how it’s set up)
  • From now on, cards created by that rule will get the new checklist version, but existing cards will still need manual adjustment.

If you want to bulk-fix all existing cards, consider using some power-ups like Bulk Actions.

Hope it helps 🙌
