Editing Defaults to the Timeline View

I'd like to edit the defaults on my Timeline view.  Things like sort by Quarter and None.

Is there any update on the timeline of that feature?

Welcome to the Community! Unfortunately, there’s no update on that particular feature at  present however there could be a work around for the sort by quarter.

Trello allow you to group labels on the timeline views to give you a different perspective of your workload. So, you could potentially label up your cards with Q1, Q2 etc with the label functionality and then group all Q1’s in the timeline view which could then give you the visibility you’re looking for.
