Boards with more than 1,000 open cards often experience slower performance. As a best practice, consider:

• Splitting large boards into smaller ones

• Deleting unnecessary cards

Our product team sets these limits to ensure Trello operates smoothly, which is why you might be receiving this warning.

You might also want to review archived lists and delete those no longer needed. If you prefer to keep them as a backup, consider creating a new board and moving archived lists there, or distributing them across multiple boards.
