Hi,
I'm having trouble accessing my Trello account after changing my name following my marriage.
My Trello account is still linked to my old work email address. Since my email address has changed, my old work email account has been deleted and is no longer accessible. As a result, I can't receive the verification PIN that Trello is sending to the old email address.
Is there any way to regain access to my account and update the email address to my new one?
I'd be happy to provide any information needed to verify my identity and ownership of the account.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Lena
Hi @Lena Schnitzer ,
Firstly, congrats on getting married! 👏💍
As for the account, best option might be to contact the IT department to temporarily recreate or grant you access to your old work email address. Parts of the whole recover your account process are described here: Recovering your Trello account
Trello Support team do comply to the following policy:
Because email verification is the primary way we confirm account ownership, allowing manual email changes would expose accounts to potential security risks, such as social hacking. Therefore, we are unable to update your login credentials on your behalf, even with identity verification.
Anyway, if you regain access to that temporary inbox, you could request a verification PIN or a password reset > login to your Trello account > update your account email address.
Cheers,
Tobi
