One of my clients uses a free Trello workspace that contains all of my projects and tasks. I have a Premium account and, ideally, I would like the relevant cards from my client's workspace to make a duplicate card on my Premium account. Is there a way to do this? I am onboarding another client that uses a free workspace and swapping between multiple workspaces is a bit of a pain.
Hi Celanna.
Thanks for writing to us!
I'm afraid we might not be able to mirror cards across two different workspaces, but if the boards sit on the same workspace, it should be possible.
While card mirroring isn't a native feature of Trello, you can add a link to the original card (https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/sharing-links-to-cards-boards-comments-and-actions/) on the new card so that you can refer back to it easily. When you attach a link to a Trello card on another card, it will display a preview of that card, and will show which board and list it belongs to:You can also click on the "Connect cards" link to make it a 2-way link, so that both cards link to each other. This doesn't sync any content automatically, though, so it's really a way to show relationships between cards, and make it easy to get from one to the other.
You could also set up a simple _one-way_ sync using automation, which you can read more about here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/synchronizing-cards/
Beyond that, there are a few third-party Power-Ups that can help you keep cards in sync more automatically. You can read more about those here:
Do let me know if you've more questions. I'd be happy to help.
Please note, that the Power-Ups that integrate with third-party services are only connectors between those services, and in order to take advantage of these connectors, you'll need to have an account for the other service as well. Because many of these services are provided by separate companies, outside of Trello, any costs associated with their products are also separate.
Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns. Have a great day!
Cheers,
