Due date rule parameter about time isn't clear.

Duncan McDougal February 22, 2024

When Setting a Due Date Automation it has a trigger selection that has the option to do something a certain amount of time before the due date. This time duration is confusing in what it might do. Let me explain. In this trigger it has

"[quantity of time selection] [type of duration selection] [before or after selection] a card [advanced parameter selection, such as a applying rule to a specific list] is due ["at" time selection]."

Example: " 7 days before a card in "to do list" is due at 5 pm "

My issue is that I am not sure if this "at 5 pm" means that it will apply the rule at 5 pm, or if it will apply the rule if the due date is at 5 pm. From the way the trigger is worded, it could be either.

Would anyone be able to clarify this for me? Thank you in advance!

Hi,

The first one is right.  It isn't triggering on the due date time being 5pm it is saying if a card is due that day, regardless of the due date time, execute the command at 5pm
