Does Automation still count if no cards exist?

If I currently have a scheduled automation set up to everyday move cards from list A to a list B

If there are no cards at all in list A during time of scheduled automation, does the automation still count against the monthly quota?

In Trello, you have automation command runs and operations.

This will consume 1 command run and 1 operation
