Descriptions from most cards has disappeared suddenly!

The descriptions for most of my cards (1,000 cards) has disappeared. I am absolutely livid and cannot find a solution or a way to get the information back or even how to get help from Trello. There is not filter turned on. Cards and their main head title is fine - just no description when the card is opened. Anyone???

The description-history Power-Up already suggested is the recovery-first option I would test on one affected card before changing many cards.

I develop Board Export Lite. It cannot reconstruct descriptions that are already missing, but after the data is recovered it can create JSON, CSV, or XLSX snapshots. Test a sample export first and confirm that all important fields are represented before relying on it:

Hi Sara,

Trello keeps previously saved versions of card descriptions in the background, so the information may still be recoverable.

You can try the Card Description History Power-Up:

It provides a history of description changes, which should make it much easier to find the previous text than checking Trello’s API data manually.

Since you have around 1,000 affected cards, I would try the Power-Up first.
