Thanks, Pedro.  

That article doesn't address my question.  I am trying to understand precisely what "soon" means in terms of hours/day before something is due.  Same for "later". 

I think "soon" happens before "later", but I don't know how much before. Is "soon" 24 hours?  2 days? Is "later" anytime after "soon"?
