Creating multiple cards from a templateat once

Pierre Ouellet
February 23, 2021

I have created a template for a card.

I'm copying a list from an Excel file to create multiple cards at once. Each card is a different line in the Excel file. The problem is all the cards created this way are blank new cards. I would like them all to be filled like the template.

In other words create a bunch of copies of the template cards with their names being from the list in Excel.

I'm often creating a hundred cards this way so having to manually go back and copy the content of the template inside each card isnt an option.

Thanks for your help

You could create a Butler rule to fill in the data you want for the new cards.

Oh wow Thanks, Hadn't touched Butler yet but it does exactly what I need it to. Now I see a whole new world of possibilities.
